The requirements for the performance and quality of absorbent incontinence products have long been so specific that they have almost developed into high-tech products.

Their production begins with raw materials that used not to be available – such as highly permeable super absorbers (SAP), which still conduct fluid when the SAP granulate is already saturated, or special dry non-wovens, which contribute decisively to dryer skin, or elastic foil backings which provide much comfort during wear.

Both contribute to the production technology, which not only provides safe products but is also attuned to the logistics and thus the economic aspects of a product. A good example of this is the compact technology which permits the fashioning of less voluminous incontinence products with high absorbency. It is not only the user who benefits from this by receiving a discreetly thinner product in the form of the vlesi-slip, for instance; the reduction in volume and packaging also leads to a substantial reduction in transport and storage volumes.
